One dead, 10 injured in Finsbury Park terror attack against Muslim worshippers

One person has been confirmed dead after a white van driven by a suspect now in police custody ploughed into a crowd of worshipers as they came out of the Finsbury Park Mosque on Seven Sisters Road, Sunday night.
THE AFRICAN EYE gathered that a man was pronounced dead at the scene just outside the Muslim Welfare Centre in north London.

About a dozen others were wounded in the attack which is being investigated as "potential terrorist"
The Metropolitan Police said eight people were taken to hospital after the collision while a further two people were treated at the scene where police arrested a 48-year-old man who had been held by members of the public amid angry scenes.

There are reports that another two people leapt out of the van and escaped, although this has yet to be confirmed by police.

The Counter Terrorism Command Unit is helping the Met Police with their investigation into the incident which witnesses described as a deliberate attack.
